Luxor & Aswan (Every Thursday)
If you have had it on the Red Sea coast or in the hustle and bustle of huge Cairo and dream of a cruise on the Nile?
That, of course, is also possible. You can book the cruise no matter where you are in Cairo, Hurhgada, Marsa-Alem or already in Luxor.
The entire cruise you will be accompanied by employees of egypte4allreizen (Dutch, Italian or English speaking guides).
Cruises are offered along the Nile, ranging from short trips between Luxor and Aswan to longer cruises that include the northern city of Dendera.
In the past, it worked for more than two weeks all the way from Cairo to Aswan,
but because of the development of the Nile, they stopped making Nile cruises all the way from Cairo,
and it now works from Luxor to Aswan. Nile cruises history
Nile cruises began in the early 19th century when Ibrahim Pasha from Egypt made his journey up and down the Nile.
At the end of the 19th century, a novel written by a certain Miss Edwards was published.
The novel, titled The Nile and its Monuments, describes the various historical sites along the river during Nile cruises.
Many cruises are aboard a larger ship that functions as a floating hotel.
Other Nile trips may be on a felucca, a traditional sailboat, where night trips may require passengers to sleep outdoors on deck and the sailors also serve as cooks.
*Should you book for a special boat and it is not possible for us to book it. Then Egypt 4 All Travel reserves the right to book another boat of the same quality.

When we return from this visit, the boat leaves immediately in the direction of Kom-Ombo, meanwhile we have a pleasant lunch on board.
When we arrive in Kom-Ombo you are already right at the temple. Because this temple is located directly on the Nile. Here stands the only double temple we have in Egypt. The left side is dedicated to Sobek the great crocodile god. The right side is dedicated to Horus Horachty, or Horus the Elder. Horus had to balance things against the god Sobek. Special in these temples are the depictions of medical instruments. Because Kom-Ombo was used as a kind of hospital for a long time in the old days.
When we return from the temple the boat will sail directly toward Aswan where we will arrive late in the evening.
