there was a temple dedicated to him, which is unfortunately gone, but a beautiful alabaster shinx still remains, which was placed there by King Amenhotep II from the new kingdom.

After Memphis we continue our way to Sakkara where we find burials from the entire long history of Ancient Egypt.

We will visit the pyramid of King Djoser and the mastabas of Merenruka and Kagemni, two sons-in-law of King Teti from the 6th dynasty of the Old Kingdom.

Finally we visit the grave of Maïa, she was the nurse of the ancient Egyptian king Tutankhamon and lived during the 18th dynasty.

She bore the titles of nurse of the King, nurturer of the body of the God and great lady of the harem.

The only known information about her comes from her tomb in Sakkara, where she is depicted, among other things, with the king as a child sitting on her lap.

The tomb was reused and severely damaged in later periods.Memphis Sakkara and Giza.
