Valley of the Kings is an area in Egypt where for a period of almost 500 years, from the Eighteenth Dynasty to
the Twentieth Dynasty, rock-cut tombs were excavated for pharaohs and powerful nobles
under the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. It is a wadi on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor) and in the heart of the Theban Necropolis.

You will receive a breakfast package from the hotel.We drive via Safaga to Luxor, halfway through the desert we stop at the 85 km cafeteria where you can stretch your legs and buy a snack.We drive via Qina to Luxor where we start the day with a visit to the enormous temple complex of the state god Amun in Karnak.
When we leave Karnak we go by motorboat to the West Bank where there are the tombs of the kings of the New Kingdom and the private tombs of the high officials and the temples built by the kings of the New Kingdom dating back millions of years. Upon arrival at the west bank, we will first have a nice rest and lunch.
Then we will visit the Memnon colossi that once stood in front of the enormous temple of King Amenhotep III. He was Tutankhamun’s grandfather.We then drive to the Valley of the Kings and we can visit three tombs on 1 ticket. Additional tickets must be purchased for the tombs of Ramses VI, Tutankhamun and Seti I, but please check this with your guide before you take the bus. leaves.
Then we drive to the temple of Medinet Habu, the temple of millions of years of Ramses III from the 20th dynasty.
After this visit we return to Marsa Alem via Qina and Safaga and take you back to your hotel. You will be accompanied by employees of Egypt4allreizen (Dutch, Italian or English speaking guides) throughout the day of the excursion.

– Children 6 to 12 years pay 50%
