Last Saturday, we went on an exciting quad safari. We were picked up right on time and taken to our destination in the desert. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and our guide shared fascinating insights about the Bedouin way of life. Later in the day, we had the chance to observe their lifestyle up close, but first, we zoomed through the desert on quads. You could choose to drive slow, medium, or fast. We opted for the fast pace, and I had to accelerate hard to keep up. After that, we took another thrilling ride in a buggy. Then, we traveled through the desert in vans to visit the local villagers. There, we were introduced to the customs of the tribes. While there was an option to ride camels, we chose not to. We returned to the starting point in the van, where we enjoyed a delicious BBQ and lively dancing in the center of the accommodation. After dinner, we were dropped off back at our hotel. It was a wonderful experience and a fantastic day, all thanks to Wael who arranged everything for us.

Today, we visited the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Valley of the Kings, the Karnak Temple, and the Luxor Temple of. These magnificent places, with their thousands of fascinating stories and imposing structures, reflect the meeting of diverse civilizations throughout history. It was truly a wonderful experience. The credit for this perfect day goes partly to the favourable weather and our fantastic guide, Wael Rasmy. He was professional, friendly, available, and incredibly knowledgeable. When I return, I hope to have you as our guide again. Thank you, Wael.
Alongside Wael and our private driver Carlos, I had two adventurous days in Cairo on December 3rd and 4th. I saw, learned, and experienced so much that it's indescribable. We visited places that most tourists wouldn't normally see and explored some truly special locations. The 21 royal mummies in the museum, which unfortunately cannot be photographed, left a profound impression on me. It's unbelievable how intact some of them are after more than 3,000 years, with some even retaining hair, nails, and teeth. I viewed them all in awe, like a child with my mouth open. We also explored burial chambers, the pyramids of Giza, the Pyramid of Djoser, the Sphinx, and the old center of Cairo in the evening. We visited Babylon in the Coptic Fort and soaked in the atmosphere of the city with its 25 million inhabitants and chaotic traffic. It was an absolute blast, and I was grateful for our good-natured driver, as driving in Cairo is truly a sport. The long car rides were more than worth it. And of course, a big thanks to Wael, the best guide and friend in Egypt.
Yesterday, I celebrated my birthday in Luxor. What a fantastic guide Wael is—so passionate and full of knowledge. It was the best birthday ever. Thank you, Wael!
Just back from a 4-day trip to Luxor. Thanks to Wael for organizing everything so perfectly and for sharing your knowledge of Karnak Temple.
